INTERNSHIPS
The Mayan Languages Preservation Project is a initiative dedicated to preserving and promoting the Mayan languages. Through an online, open-source glossary and collaboration with technology partners, the project aims to empower Mayan communities by bridging the digital divide and providing access to essential information, education, healthcare, and legal services.
We invite prospective interns to apply for the opportunity to contribute to a project which will have a meaningful impact for indigenous and other underrepresented communities in the United States.
The internship is in person for those in Houston, TX and remote for those outside of Houston, TX. Our high school interns work 10 hours a week, while our college interns work 20 hours a week. We do not offer work-study. This job requires US work authorization. This job is open to candidates with Curricular Practical Training (CPT). This job is open to candidates with Optional Practical Training (OPT)
